Yes, DocBoink caught the detail with the black baseball stitched edgeroll. I am not sure where the P-2 connection would be as this seems to be a typical P-1 T.O. updated to P-1A standard.
When I won the poster on eBay it was one of several in a lot. The P-1A poster was by far the most interesting but this one is not too bad either as it gives us a 1953 snapshot of USAF pilot gear
